Center says number of blocked ðô. domains rockets to 2,642 in June
MOSCOW, Jul 17 (PRIME) -- The number of blocked domains in the ðô. zone that distributed malware leaped to 2,642 in June from 226 in May, they all were registered using data of China’s citizens, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.ÐÔ said on Monday in a statement.
“It is much higher than last year’s results: nine domains distributing malicious software were muted in May 2022 and 74 in June,” the center said.
The websites created on domains with malware in May–June were used to spread uniform Trojan virus Evo-gen that hits Android and Windows devices, ransomware Zmutzy.lscpt, and Trojan virus VoidBalaur.
Yevgeny Pankov, head of projects at the center, said the fraudsters seem to check the.ðô domain zone for center’s reliability.
